Do you know what is Tryptophan? It is something useful for self development and make U feel good with eating ?
It helps to produce serotonin, the ‘mood-lifting’ brain chemical that makes a person feel good. Get it from almonds, sesame seeds & peanuts. Will you try it out?
"Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you".
~~It is also in turkey. I try to eat a diet rich in seeds, nuts, fruits and vegetables. Must be getting plenty because I feel very happy and content, even with the global economy crashing about our ears.

How did you perform your self development?what are the diffrent ways you can perform it? ?
Read a lot self help books
Worked a lot pn my self and conditions to improve its status
Made a conscious effort to associate only with people with substance . By associate I mean have a close relationship with.
Learned from my mistakes
4Do you agree or disagree with the following statement:One has more opportunities for self-development abroad?
Bring arguments and examples to sustain your opinon.
Please help me it’s har for me to translate my ideas from Romanian into English
I agree
what is the purpose of continuing self development?
why and what are the advantages and disadvantages if any of doing this.
Self development is on going through out your life.
Whilst we note down our self development we can see where we have lacked in areas of our life and what we could do to improve this.
We could also see what we have achieved in our life and would we have done it in another way possibly, does this make sence to you. ??
Its like having a journal so we can see the progression we have made in life and see what needs to be altered maybe.
I hope i have been of some help.
What’s better for self development: watching movies or reading books?
i NEVER WATCH MOVIES however i am starting to suspect this is causing me to appear somewhat out of touch with MODERN LANGUAGE….
Also, it is really hard for me to understand humor when there is no associated body language (which is the case with books, even supposedly funny books do not appear funny to me, but with movies i don’t have that problem)
Bu i hard books are better, and to be honest, most modern movies are CRAP anyways.
Any suggestions?
I wouldn’t say that one is definitely better than the other for self-development. People are told to read books more often because most people watch an inordinate amount of TV and movies. If everyone read, I’m sure there would be public service ads telling people to go out and watch a good movie every once in a while.
You have to choose the movies you watch more carefully. I infrequently watch movies, so when I do watch one I make sure that it’s either a classic or that it has great reviews and a high score on either Rotten Tomatoes or IMDB. I’m rarely disappointed. You could also try watching some high-quality TV shows more often. Try getting Netflix and watching some HBO series like The Sopranos.
Is this true? A healthy body is a significant factor in self development an helps a person develop personlity?
If yes, give me proof and defend your answer.
Would love to know what you think,
appreciate it.
obviously I can’t prove it to you scientifically on-line.
But the ancient Romans already knew this. "Mens sana in corpore sano" was a well-known say even then (translated as "A healthy mind in a healthy body".
Try it for yourself : your brain won’t function efficiently if you feel physically ill.
Accordingly, your spiritual development will be impaired if you don’t eat healthily.
What is your opinion of the growing self-development books industry?
They can be great, but I also think a lot of personal journeys and growths are, well, personal. So it may not work to read a book.
Has anyone ever used hypnosis for self-development out there?
I’ve always been into self-development and now that the new year is here, would like to improve within different area’s in my life (like many other’s). So was wondering if someone out there has ever seeked hypnosis to help in accomplishing your goals.
Yes I do it every night. At the very least, it’s nice to relax and tell yourself positive messages for 20-30 minutes a day. And at best, you program your subconscious to move steadily toward your goals. I record my own scripts, though you can download recordings for MP3. But I think the sound of my own voice, telling me what I will do is more effective.
What is the definition of "undertakes self-development activities"?
I have an employee questioning their score on a review because they said that the training has to be company funded and during regular hours.
Ordinarily, the company decides upon, and funds, development of employees.
The problem you run into with that kind of review scoring is that a company cannot mandate training that an employee has to complete at their own time and expense so it’s always a sticky point in reviews.
